No. ChicagoSweepAlert is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the City of Chicago or any government entity.
Where do the schedules come from?
We reference Chicago's publicly available street-sweeping schedules and map them to your address to time reminders. Always follow posted signage, as schedules can change.
Are reminders guaranteed?
No. While we strive to be timely and accurate, schedules can change without notice and message delivery can vary due to carrier or technical issues. Always follow posted signage and official City notices. ChicagoSweepAlert is a convenience tool and does not replace your responsibility to observe posted signs.
What does it cost?
We offer a Free plan (email reminders for 1 address), Basic SMS at $2.49/month (adds SMS for 1 address), and Premium at $4.99/month (up to 5 addresses, repeat SMS, custom timing). Paid plans are only charged during the active sweeping season (April through November).
What months is the service active?
Chicago street sweeping typically runs April through November. Reminders are sent during this active season. Paid plan billing pauses automatically during the off-season (December through March) and resumes when the next season begins.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can switch plans or cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future charges at the end of your current billing period.
Can I get a refund?
We do not provide partial-month refunds. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact support@chicagosweepalert.com.
How do I stop SMS messages?
Text STOP to the number you receive messages from, or turn off SMS in your account settings. You can also email support@chicagosweepalert.com for assistance.
Do you support addresses outside Chicago?
Currently, ChicagoSweepAlert only covers addresses within the City of Chicago. We may expand to other areas in the future.
How is my data used?
